Upgrade Buildings for Risk Mitigation

Dear Sirs,
As per the letter we received PALPD 000032.2023 in March 21, 2024, Wjeen IC company found some
mistakes in your assessment report and wishes to share our feedback so we can progress together for the
common benefit. Kindly see Annex 1 for our suggested evaluation and Annex 2 for detailed explanations.
We as Wjeen IC consider ourselves as loyal partners who kept on following Aramco Procedures and we
maintain the high safety standards as holders of ISO 45001. We also received several awards and
certificates of appreciation for the excellent job we do in our projects including Aramco projects.
As a loyal contractor we consider this CSPS report not accurate and not acceptable. Hence we request
SAPMT to arrange meeting with LP supervisor for reevaluation of the score provided.
We trust that you take our complain and feedback into consideration not to complicate the matters or
create any sensitivities but to engage us in more proactive safety management system. Therefore We
would do our best in complying to your standards and exert all efforts to excel in achieving our common
goals.
Therefore we wish you could discuss with your team to improve our coordination and communication for
a better safety and the common benefit.
If you need further information or proof to support our complaint explanation, feel free to highlight the
points of your concern and we shall respond with full collaboration.
Best Regards,

Annex 2
Point-by-point explanation for CSPS
Assessment
1. You gave us weak score (67.2%) in Work Permit category and we wish you could increase it
because:
a. As Aramco contractor we have a clean history of not violating the Work Permit procedure.
We always halt our employees from work in case their WP is expired or until we issue their
WP.
b. Regarding an earlier observation received from LP for removal of un used equipment’s
from our new yard, We followed the instructions and information from the safety
supervisor that in-yard area loading & unloading of items can be managed without WP.
2. Regarding working on hight category, you gave us a relatively low score (75%) compared to the
earlier assessments. and we wish you could increase this score because during the month of
February we didn’t work on height in all the activities which fall under the following 3 areas:
a. work at height not applicable for OME expansion where we are doing the back filling &
compaction.
b. work at height not applicable for IED building where we are working in the confined space.
c. Crane Building where our activity is closing of window
3. You gave us weak score (66.7%) Road Safety and we wish you could increase it because:
a. we are providing the safety sign & barricade as per the site requirement and according to
the CSM.
b. we didn’t receive any ticket for driving.
4. You gave us another weak score (58.39%) in Excavation based on 3 observations that were
received in Jan. 2024 month for IED building which was closed on 8th Feb. 2024. We wish you could
increase this score because:
a. There was no proper observation procedure since we didn’t receive any official
observation on this matter.
b. We need to enhance the LP coordination and communication based on SOPs and clear
instructions (including explanation of safety issues& procedures)
5. You gave us a relatively low score (71.4%) regarding Danger Zone. we wish you could increase it
because:
a. Our IED building is not located at any Danger Zone according to Aramco classification and
definition (i.e. gas atmosphere area)
b. Again we did not receive any prior notice or official observation regarding this issue.
