Bias and prejudice

PREJUDICE-

 is an assumption or an opinion about someone simply based on that person’s membership to a particular group.

RACISM

 the belief that is a tendency to believe that some people, ideas, etc., are different races possess distinct
characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.

SEXISM

 prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, based on sex, particularly against women, (gender inequality).

Stereotype

 an exaggerated belief, image or distorted truth about a group or person—a generalization that allows for little or
no individual differences or social variation. When we put people into categories, make decisions about their
identity often before we even know who they are, is called stereotyping.
