and nurturing your own seeds?

I can’t believe that it has been eight weeks already! From the last update the only
thing that has changed is that they have grown taller and thicker. I know that you
mentioned if my plants started to get flowers to pinch them off, but that has not happened
yet. So far all I am getting is wonderful looking basil leaves. Now that the experiment is
over, I can also start using these when I cook which is very exciting. It was also nice just
to have plants grown from seeds around me. Living in an apartment, I find it hard to grow
the plants that I want, and I worried about my neighbors below me getting dirt or water
on their patio. With basil however, they are small and don’t require a lot to grow. Doing
this thought the course gave me a good idea on how fast some plants can germinate and
what conditions they need to be successful, as well as what fertilizers to buy and how to
counteract some potential problems like pathogens or nutrient deficiencies. Luckily, I
didn’t have any of those, but it did make me more aware of potential problems instead of
just letting them grow willy-nilly. I want to try some other herbs as well before the
summer is over. It was nice to do this thought the course because of this and I am
thankful.
