Week 4 of the Planting Process

Narrative Report
Kimboy Baligod
For sure just like other students who choose the planting process as their representation for the
course, up to this week or the first month of the plants the update is still encompasses the
monitoring of growth and the routine caring. Routine caring involves opportunity for plants to
get sunlight in which I always observe the time I wake up in my bed. Next, is to water it every
noon at exactly 4:30 or 5pm, at some extent if I was not able to water it at noon I make sure to
give it back in the morning. I also observed the covering of plants with the use of a “gabi” plant
or a banana stem for it not to get dry and not destroyed by our hens and ducks.

This week is also the first week of the seeds of squash and patani I planted during the duration of
last week update. As of now there are few who comes out to the ground but others are still deep
down the surface. My patani also is still down the surface but I always water it. With regards to
my patola plant the growth is really impressive. I’ve been monitoring it every minute given that
it provides me such motivation whenever I think of some of my plants not growing well.
Because patola is known to be a plant running in the surface I also inserted some branches of
bamboos to at least provide a thing that they will stick to and grows up because the vegetable of
patola should be ripped at the top and not in the surface. However, this week also covers the start
of my Papaya’s life, so how did I came up with it. Upon cleaning the area of my patola plants at
the same time watering plants I observed a familiar leaf of any kind of a vegetable and I’m not
sure at first so I have to ask my grandmother if what kind of a plant it is until she confirms that it
was really a papaya. It looks healthy, and at a normal state for the necessity of caring so I
decided why do it or care for it starting at the moment and I will include in my output.

This week was just literally monitoring and caring and nothing else, as I assess the growth
without a doubt it is still not consistent as it is because some are growing well but others are not
so I have to keep it seriously and somehow achieve the goal of being a consistent caretaker of my
plants. As to my eggplants I can say that it was consistent all throughout each week which the
leaves serves as the evidence of it. Although it lacks on height in growth, what matters is that I
can assess that positivity is happening with it.

I hope and pray for the coming weeks I still have the same words of appraise to my plants but
who knows it really lye’s on my own hands. The best thing to do is to keep attach with the
process and trust it and remind myself I’ve come this far so why will I give up. The updates next
week should be positivity and I hope my patola, eggplant, squash, and string beans possess a
linear or a consistent amount of product.
