1. Don’t stop believing- Journy. I chose this song because it would be perfect to open the show
if it were a jukebox musical. It shows Seymour’s hopeful spirit and the helps us realise the
thing that everyone in skid row has in common is hope/believing that there’s a better life out
there for them.

2. Toxic- Brittany spears. I feel like this song could be applied to many situations in the show
like Audrey and Orin’s toxic relationship but also Audreys effect on Seymour, even if
unintentional, it was still toxic as it ended negatively for everyone. It could also be applied to
the toxic relationship with Seymour and the man-eating plant.

3. I will survive- gloria Gaynor. I feel as if song could replace somewhere that’s green. It
wouldn’t nearly compare and send out the same important messages as the original song.
However, I feel like it would summarise all the underlying messages with the overall message
that Audrey isn’t giving up and will survive and get through it.

4. Carrying on with the idea of representing Audrey and Orin’s relationship through song, I
turned to the song bad romance by lady gaga. I feel like its quite self-explanatory, but it could
also be flipped and say that if Orin did sing this song, it could be directed at the relationship
between him and his parents.

5. I then decided to pick the song superstition by Stevie wonder because I feel like its needed to
represent the dark secret of Audrey 2 and be used for the supernatural/ mysterious elements of
the story.

6. I wanna dance with somebody- Whitney Houston. I feel like this could be preformed by the
whole ensemble to show how oblivious they are to the situation and how the whole “Audrey 2
situation” is all a song and dance preformed by Seymour and Mushnik.

7. We will rock you- queen. I feel like a slightly slower and eery cover of this would be perfect
at the end and sung by Audrey 2 with plant as backing vocals. It represents them taking over
the city, emphasizing there dominance and the chaos they bring.
