An event organiser is responsible for many factors of an event.

This includes attendees invited

to what decorations are placed. An event organiser needs to make the event go super smooth
from the beginning all the way to the end.
A client may want to hire one as they may not have the capabilities or skills required to
smoothly organize and manage an event, so hiring one will make people's life better and easier.
A few skills required are communicative skills, social skills, and you need to be good under
pressure because things can get quite intense at times.
The seven skills required are budgeting skills, confidence, time management, problem solving
skills, negotiation, leadership, and creative skills. You need good skills with money and how to
handle and are doing to prove to your client that you are a trustworthy individual. You need to
know what you are doing with your time, spread out the money across different ventures. need
to also be as confident as possible in what you hence why having good time management skills
is essential when you are managing and organising an event. You must be a diligent individual
who can solve their own problems, don’t rely upon anyone else to solve your problems.
One task an event organizer must undertake is to ensure the attendees are all invited. A second
task is to make sure that the location is easily accessible. This includes Another task an event
organiser needs to undertake is to make sure that there are catering staff and security at the
event if required. This is due to reasons such as people wanting to eat and feeling protected at
the venue. Security can also make sure only the people who are invited get into the venue. The
third task is to ensure that the decoration and the venue's theme fits within the theme genre.
The fourth task of an event organiser to pursue is to make sure that there is a suitable catering
team in place. This is so people won't be feeling hungry, the catering team will also be assured
that there are halal and vegan options for those with strict dietary requirements. A fifth task an
event organiser needs to undertake is budgeting skills. The organiser needs to make sure that
the budget set is spread out throughout the venue booking, catering, staff, security etc. A sixth
task is to make sure that the transportation to the venue is accessible. There needs to be local
bus/train stations as well as free parking available, this will please the guests further as they
won't need to worry about any additional fees they may need to pay.

Legislation is the Health and Safety Act 1974, this sets the duties which employers have towards
employees and members of the public, as well as employees have to themselves and to each
other. This links to the Catering Task as well as transportation task. The Consumers right act
2015 is the right for the consumer to repair or demand a replacement of faulty digital content
such as films. This link to the task of Alcohol being used

I can help these events be successful by using my budgeting skills to enhance how the money is
spent and in the correct way. This will also ensure that no money is being wasted in the wrong
locations. Overall, it's all about experience, you need to experience these skills to develop.
Having good budgeting skills is highly beneficial and valuable as money is involved with
everything, carrying this skill with you for the rest of your life is essential as everything around
is money. Carrying this skill at events is super beneficial as budgeting is super important to
make sure the money is going to the right place, for example; from hiring the venue location to
making sure the correct decorations are in place.

Time management is super crucial, A previous experience of mine is when I used to work. Each
week a Rota was released with set times for staff to arrive. This helped me plan my days in
advance and always be on time. Some days my manager used to ask me to come in earlier so
his pushed my schedule back by some time, but I still managed to work around the timings I
was given and be on time to work whilst also doing everything needed to be done for the day

Communicational skills are highly important with organising and managing and event, this is
simply because you need to be the leader and communicate with everything to make sure that
the event is running smoothly from start to finish. If you are not communicative then it will be
extremely difficult for the attendees to understand what is happening, where to go, when the
event starts and finishes etc.

Problem solving skills are highly essential with managing an event, there can be many problems
when it comes to managing an event, a widespread problem can be transportation. For
example, some guests will need to travel via public transport, so the venue location needs to be
close to a train/bus station. Another problem with transportation is parking access, if there is
no free parking some guests wouldn’t be willing to pay the parking fare so it could be off
putting, there also needs to be disability accessibility for those who need it, having all of these
accessible and close to your venue location is a huge plus to the success of the event.

Leadership skills can come into play with communication skills as both are highly required to
run a successful event, having good leadership skills will assure that the team that’s in place
