The bar chart illustrates the proportion of New Zealand products which were exported to 5
country groups from 1973 to 2002. Overall, most New Zealand products were sent to Rest
of the world, which group experienced a significant rise while the other group had a variety of
trends over the given period.

In the early 1973, the value of New Zealand exports had a big proportion both in the Rest of
World and US that signed as 37 million and 28 million, respectively. However, the value for
other countries was not more than 20 million, of which the revenue of products sent to
Australia had the least amount in this time. Then, in the next decade, the export value to the
Rest of World group registered an increasing, on the contrary, export for the claimed
plummeted figure that were the lowest values in this period.

The export value to the Rest of World remained stable in 1992 which was followed by
Australia that claimed a considerable increase by 20 million. On the other hand, the export
value to the US declined to 5 million. In 2002, The revenue of export products in New
Zealand to the Rest of World Group peaked at almost 50 million, on the other side, the
export value to the US experienced the lowest amount that stood at 4 million.

TASK 2

Someone argues that because of the advancement of technology, the ability to write
conventional letters will be lost in the future. I disagree with this notion, that I believe people
still use this kind of technique which would help us in the modern age. There are two
reasons why people tend to write letters by hand.

To begin with, writing a letter using hand is more reliable in every countries, however we
have already lived in information age. There are some remote areas where the area isn't
reachable by telecommunications or electricity. In this case people cannot use kind of
modern equipments or smartphone because the lack of communication infrastructures.
Furthermore, people must using a traditional approachment to give information to their family
by write a letter. And this kind of letter has a particular pattern that people who received it
must know about it.

In addition, in some parts of Indonesia, there are some communities which preserve their
cultural behavior and prefer to utilize traditional equipment to do their daily activities
including the way they send messages to others by writing a letter. For instance, The Baduy
tribe in Banten, they live in a natural environment that doesn't allow modern equipment such
as electricity and telecommunications towers built up in their place. The one only reason that
this kind of infrastructure will destroy their cultural behaviors as well as their traditions.
Moreover, one of the most reliable ways to inform other people is by writing a letter that will
help them to protect their environment by modernization.

In my conclusion, in the future, the skills to write letters will not disappear from our
civilizations because of some reasons. The development of human technology doesn’t reach
all parts of the earth. Furthermore, there are some communities in the world which still
defend their culture from human modernization.
