What are the affordances and pitfalls of viewing the world as divided into Global North and Global South?
There is a social and political divide between the countries of the north and south. Countries in the north
include the United States, Western Europe, and developed portions of East Asia. The southern hemisphere
includes Africa, Latin America, developing Asia, and the Middle East. The global north is dominated by first and
second world countries, whereas the global south is dominated by third and emerging countries. The northern
hemisphere is the wealthiest and most developed, whereas the southern hemisphere is the poorest and least
developed. South-south countries have undergone multiple economic crises, but north-south countries have
had tew serious economic problems. Because the bulk of South American countries lack navigable rivers as well
as efficient road and rail networks, they have a difficult time importing and accessing foreign markets. This is a
major drawback because it raises the cost of importing necessities, which the countries cannot afford.
Furthermore. the countries in the global north are technologically advanced because they are more developed
and evolved. Technical disparities, according to Kegley, Charles, have produced a significant split between the
global north and the global south. South American indigenous cultures have neither advanced or progressed.
This imolies that the countries in the south have not improved or developed technologically, but the ones in the
north have advanced rapidly. Furthermore, the countries in the global north are technologically advanced

2. Is the Global divide something that you feel is affecting you daily, in your home, or in you country? Why
and how?
The digital divide has a huge impact on every one of us, every culture is affected differently by the
technology. The digital divide is also dictated by the different technological possibilities available and what
users are allowed to use. In Europe, for example, the Internet is used for connecting business, and the Internet
of Things is making rapid inroads into a number of industries already. In areas in both Africa and Russia - there
simply aren't the connectivity speeds. or in some cases. connection capability. to make this happen. So. We
have to be more innovative, while meeting the needs of the user. To be honest, I can't picture my existence
without the access to the internet. For the some of the world's poorest countries, who are affected by the
digital divide is suffered by the lack of access to technology. Technology and culture directly influence each
other. As cultures change, so does the technology it innovates. Much of this is for the greater good. It is, for
example, a massive aid to global communication. But we must not forget how to talk face-to-face and the
impact it can have in crossing the cultural divide. In my perspective, the world is splitting us different cultures,
and it impacts me because when other people from other nations come here to my country, I sometimes face
discrimination from them, even in my own country. Because of our naturalization and culture, some people
underestimate us. It had the most impact on me in my own town. The society and community are both
impacted.

3.If you were our country's leader, what programs or policies will you propose knowing how the world
economics system goes? Justify your answer
If I were the leader of our country, I would want to contribute my power in providing inexpensive high
quality health care services, accessible education, and balancing economic exchange globally and locally. I
would invest in setting a good healthcare system for the country and its citizens since human health and access
to inexpensive. nigh-quality health care is a major concern for all governments. It is not just an ethical and
social obligation, but also a fundamental component of our economies' and societies' long-term viability.
Without putting population health and well-being at the core of public policy, we will not be able to realize our
healthy future. The youth hold the future thus I believe that education should continuously adjust and improve
to practice the vouth for managing the future. I also see a need to balance global and local trades for we can
see how our local citizens support imported goods more than our local produce. This makes our local produces
lower their value or adjust in vast measures just to compete with these imported goods. There are many more
aspects of our country that our global leaders should give more focus on, and it I am to be one of them. these
are some that I would want to focus on
