Introduction

We are glad that you chose to use Code+ by ThiemeMeulenhoff to acquire the Dutch Language! We
are happy to help you start with nt2plus.nl. This online-setting is supplementary to the book Code+ .

If you use the method in connection to a school you will be connected to a group. You can also use
Code+ for independent study.

You will find on nt2plus.nl exercises for e.g. listening, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. You
can do these exercises independently. You can also download werkbladen (instruction sheets),
woordenlijsten (vocabularies) and transcripten (transcripts).

1 Create an account
If you want to use nt2plus.nl, you must first create a personal account. Maybe your teacher has
already made an account for you. Ask your teacher. No account yet? Read here what you must do.

How to create an account at nt2plus.nl?

 Go to http://www.nt2plus.nl

 Click at ‘Ik ben nieuw’ (‘I am new’) at ‘Account

aanmaken’ (‘Create account’).

 Fill in all required data.

 Choose a password with:

- at least 9 characters.
- at least 1 upper case letter
- at least 1 numerical digit
- at least 1 special character (such as !@#$ %^&*?).

 Click at ‘Account aanmaken’ (‘Create account’) at the bottom of the page.

2 Activate license
Now you must activate tour license. This license comes as a code. You will find the code in your book
or your will give you one.

How to activate your license?

 Go to http://www.nt2plus.nl.

 Log in with your username and password,. Your mail address is your username.

 Click in the right hand top at your naam (name).
 Click ‘Profiel’ (‘Profile’).

 Go to ‘Licenties en startdata’ (‘Licenses and start

data’) And click plus (+).
 Fill in a your license code and in and choose a
start date.
 Click ‘Opslaan’ (‘Save’).

3 Fill in group code

If you attend lessons at a coursetou also have to fill in the group code. The code will be provided by
your teacher.

How to fill in a group code?

 Click your name and profile again..
 Click the plus + at ‘Groep’ (‘Group’).
 Fill in the code.

 Click ‘Opslaan’ (‘Save’).

 Maybe you first have to choose the right method. Choose for Code+.
 Choose the deel (part) that you want to use.

Where can you find the exercises?

 In your book you will find a reference (in Dutch) to the exercises that you have to do..

 Go to the site. Click ‘Start’, choose the right Deel (Part) and the right Hoofdstuk (Chapter).

- If you work in the Hoofdstuk (Chapter) for the first time? Click ‘Start’.
- Did you not fully finish the chapter? Click ‘Verder gaan’ (‘continue’).
- If you want to do the chapter once again? Click ‘Opnieuw’ (‘Again’).

 Choose the task and the exercise.

Here you will also find the difference between ‘Start’, ‘Verdergaan’ and ‘Opnieuw’ (‘Start’, ‘Continue’ and
‘Again’).

How to do the exercise?

 Choose the right answer or fill in the right word.
 When you have finished, click ‘Check’.
 Check your answers. A green answer is right. A red
answer is wrong.

 Have you finished the exercise? Click the -sign. The

right answers will appear.
 Do you want to do the exercise another time? Click
the circular arrow.
 Click ‘Volgende’ (‘Next’) and go to the next screen..

How can I see my results??

 Click ‘Resultaten’.(‘Results’) at the top of the screen.

At this page you can see the number of finished exercises. You can also see your results.

 Choose Code+ at ‘Selecteer methode’ (‘Select method’) .

 Choose the chapter and the task.
 Click ‘toets’ (‘test’) to see the results of your test.
 When you select ‘Voortang’ (‘Progression’) you will see the exercises that you made.
 Tour score will be displayed when you select ‘Resultaat’ (‘Result’). The green score gives the right
answers. The red score gives the wrong answers.

There is more that you can do in nt2plus.nl. At the top of the menu you will find Taalwijzers, the
Klankenleerlijn and Materiaal. (For translations see below.)

Taalwijzers

With the taalwijzers (language pointers) you can rehearse the routines (part 1 en 2), the grammar
(‘grammatica’) and the connections (‘verbindingen’) (part 3 en 4) of Code+.

How to find the right language pointer?

 Click Code+
 Choose the right part.
 Choose the chapter that you want to practise.
 Now you will see the routines, the grammatica (grammar) or the verbindingen (connections) for
the specific chapter.
 Click the subject that you want to repeat.
 Read the information (in Dutch).
 Click ‘Oefening’ (‘Exercise’ and do the exercise.

Klankenleerlijn

With the klankleerlijn (learning line for sounds) you can exercise the pronunciation of Dutch words.
The learning line is the same for all the methods. You will find 19 video’s with different sounds in
Dutch. You will also find Opdrachten (exercises). In this way you can practise your pronunciation.

Materiaal

In the Materiaal (Materials) section you will find the werkbladen (instruction sheets), woordenlijsten
(vocabularies) and transcripten (transcripts) for Code+.

How to find the right materials?

 Choose Code+ and choose the right part.
 Select: Werkbladen, Transcripten, or something else (Overig).
 Download the PDF to your computer.
