HYPOGONADISM

Hypogonadism is a condition in which the body does not produce enough of the
testosterone hormone; the hormone that plays a key role in masculine growth and
development during puberty. This is a very interesting topic and this is all about
hypogonadism, learning about it, and raising awareness is the key element for
situations like these, helping the people you know and knowing the symptoms are
very important as well.

Clinically low testosterone levels can lead to the absence of secondary sex
characteristics, infertility, muscle wasting, and other abnormalities. Low
testosterone levels may be due to testicular, hypothalamic, or pituitary
abnormalities. In individuals who also present with clinical signs and symptoms,
clinical guidelines recommend treatment with testosterone replacement therapy.
What are the symptoms of low testosterone, and how to increase it. Low
testosterone levels in males can lead to erectile dysfunction. They can also affect
sleep, mood, the size of the testicles, and more. In both males and females, low
testosterone can lead to lower bone mass and reduced sex drive. Researching and
reading about this topic can not only help you be aware I also learned that ‘the
morning wood’ disappears when your testosterone is getting low.

Hypogonadism is a condition in which the body doesn't produce enough of the

hormone that plays a key role in masculine growth and development during puberty
(testosterone) or enough sperm or both. You can be born with male hypogonadism,
or it can develop later in life, often from injury or infection. Being tired all the time,
being depressed, hair loss, Muscle loss, fatigue, low libido, shrinking testicles,
osteoporosis (a bone disease that develops when bone mineral density and bone
mass decreases, or when the structure and strength of bone changes.), limited
sperm production and sleep disturbances are some of the signs and symptoms of
hypogonadism. One of the causes of hypogonadism is the Klinefelter’s Syndrome:
This condition results from a congenital abnormality of the sex chromosomes, X and
Y. A male normally has one X and one Y chromosome. In Klinefelter's syndrome,
two or more X chromosomes are present in addition to one Y chromosome. Male
hypogonadism usually is treated with testosterone replacement to return
testosterone levels to normal. Testosterone can help counter the signs and
symptoms of male hypogonadism, such as decreased sexual desire, decreased
energy, decreased facial and body hair, and loss of muscle mass and bone density.
