IM120:DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY MANAGEMENT

IML253: PRESERVATION OF LIBRARY MATERIALS

1) INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (20%)

Students are required to review two (2) article related to preservation of library
materials. The article must be from journals or conference proceedings cover year 2015
onward. Student is encouraged to focus on research article.

Key elements that will be assessed are:

▪ Ability to summarise the article
▪ Ability to produce quality criticism
▪ Ability to provide useful suggestions

Article Review Structure:

▪ Cover page (name, student ID, group etc.)
▪ Table of content
▪ Article citation (place before review statement)
▪ Review statement (review, criticism, suggestions)
▪ Conclusion
▪ References (APA or MLA)
▪ Attachment (journal article)

Format of the assignment

▪ Each of the article review should not exceed five (5) pages, including references.
▪ Font: Arial, Size: 11, Spacing: 1.5, Align: Justify
▪ Date of submission: Week 4
