IOT BASED SMART ELECTRICITY METER

haven’t changed over the years even after the revolution in automation and digital industry.
the only change that has happened with these electricity meters are they’ve turned digital
from analog.
The electricity bill payment techniques follows the same old traditional way of bill payments
Where a person from the electricity board visits every house after a period of month and
updates the meter reading to a device which generates a bill then the device updates the meter
readings to the electricity board server, this is a time taking, labour consuming procedure
which may include errors.

For making this process timeless and an automated one we use an IOT based electricity
meter that’s connected to the internet which has the capability to calculate the bill amount by
itself and transfer it to the servers of the electricity board the point is not to immediately
replace all the electricity meters but to have these type of meters as an option so that it could
constitute in building a smart home.
