American Honors provides a supportive, challenging
educational experience similar to a traditional university.
American Honors is a two-year college honors program
where students earn an associate degree and prepare to
transfer to a top U.S. university to complete a bachelor’s

Students who do not meet the academic requirements of

American Honors upon admission, can enroll in American
Success. American Success students get all of the same
support as American Honors students including:
• Weekly Success Coaching
• Transfer Support
• Leadership Training
Most American Success students successfully transfer
into the American Honors program based on their
in-program GPA after one or two semesters in American
Success. Upon admission to American Honors, American
Success students receive conditional admission to either
New York University or The University of Rochester.

Students in the High School Completion program are jointly
enrolled at the Bridgeport International Academy and a
university taking courses from both schools. All university
courses are cross-listed at BIA and after one year a student
earns both a U.S. High School diploma and 24-30 college
year of the American Honors or American Success program.
High School Completion students enjoy all the same

students including weekly success coaching, transfer

support and Leadership Training.

After being accepted into any American Honors program,

students will have support from a personal Admissions
