3. Specific Topic: Traditional Food Consumption Among IIUM Students
4. Reason in Choosing Topic:
❖ Traditional food is the food that we consumed almost everyday, so we would like to know what is the
view about the traditional food from IIUM students (which are our university friends)

5. Plan to Collect Data (Primary Data):
● We will conduct this survey by creating a Google form and spread it to the Whatsapp and Telegram
group until we reach the number of sample (50 students) that we need
● The sampling method that we are going to use is the simple random sampling method as it is the most
suitable way to get a group of samples in this pandemic situation as most of the IIUM students (which
are our population) currently stay at home instead of stay at mahallah. The reason we choose this
method is because every person in the population will have the same chance to be selected as a sample.

6. Plan to Analyze Data

➢ By using the excel, we will organize all the raw data that we get from the Google form by categorizing
it between qualitative and quantitative data before presenting the data using the suitable graph
➢ Analyze and interpret the data using the numerical measures (e.g. mode, median, mean, range,
variance, standard deviation and skewness)
➢ By using the data, we will do the applications and hypothesis testing, which are part of the data
analysis
➢ We sum up and conclude this project.
