UNIT 2

5. Aware: knowing or realizing something
6. Kill: to make somebody/something die
7. Solution: a way of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation
8. Report: a written or spoken account of an event, especially one that is published or

9. Float: to move slowly on water or in the air
10. Clean up: to remove dirt, etc. from somewhere
11. Painting: a picture that has been painted
12. Image: a picture, photograph or statue that represents somebody/something

1. Appearance: the way that somebody/something looks on the outside; what

play, concert, somebody speaking, etc.)
3. Bond: something that forms a connection between people or groups, such as a feeling
of friendship or shared ideas and experiences
4. Composer: a person who writes music, especially classical music
5. Disabled: people who are disabled
6. Documentary: a film or a radio or television program giving facts about something
7. Encourage: to give somebody support, courage or hope
8. Energetic: having or needing a lot of energy and enthusiasm
9. Escape: to get away from a place where you have been kept as a prisoner or not
allowed to leave
10. Improve: to become better than before; to make something/somebody better than
before
11. Instrument: an object used for producing musical sounds, for example a piano or a
drum

may be blamed if something goes wrong

20. Polio: a disease that sometimes makes people unable to use their legs
21. Stunning: very impressive or beautiful
