POWER TURBINE GOVERNOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION


(LJ-1 thru LJ-113, except LJ-76)
1. Information
A. Refer to Standard Practices - Airframe Chapter 20-14-00, 201, for information on tools and equipment referenced in Table 401.

2. Power Turbine Governor
A. Removal
(1) Disconnect the sensor line from the governor union.
(2) Remove the bolt and nut securing the governor control arm to the bracket or linkage.
(3) Remove the four nuts and washers securing the governor to the mounting pad on the tachometer governor.
B. Installation
(1) Apply lubricant (057, Table 401) sparingly to the shaft of the governor.
(2) Position the governor on the mounting pad and secure it in place with the four attaching nuts and washers. Apply a torque
of 170 to 190 inch-pounds to the mounting nuts.
(3) Connect the sensor line to the governor union and lockwire the retaining nut.
(4) Secure governor control arm to the bracket or linkage with the attaching bolt, washer, castellated nut, and cotter pin.
