Spanish-Philippines Architecture

House is one of the absolute place for people to have. Given the importance of human
needs, people wont need to think about having a house. This is due to the house used as a
place to stay, a shelter, and hanging out with family. Each person must have a desire to create a
comfortable dwelling, peaceful, and beautiful place to spend their day. At the time, people will
think and imagine on having their dream home. There are many kinds of ‘dream house’ style,
such as modern style, post modern, and colonial era.

My family’s house was built in the 1970s era. The architecture is a mixture of Spanish
colonial and Philippines architecture. The exterior of the house is made out of bricks with
maroon paint. In front of our house there are pine trees that gives a cold atmosphere around
the house. From the gate there’s a parking area surrounded by 4 maroon brick poles that can
accommodate 2 cars and 1 motorcycle. The main door and windows from our house have an
arched style door which is one the od the characteristic of colonial era architecture.

The house is old yet its very taken care of. There are some changes made but its
because of the renovation that needs to be done in order make the house stood still and make
my family comfortable. The red color of the wall makes it perfect because of the green plants
surrounding the house. The pine trees outside makes it looks like the house is located
somewhere in Europe, but only when there is a snows falling. Over all the house is very neat
and perfect.
