Unit 3 2D kinematics Examples

Example 3: A cannon sits on the top of a hill that has an incline of 15 with
respect to the horizontal. It is a distance of 200 m to the bottom
of the hill. The cannon shoots a cannonball at 40 m/s and an
angle of 20 with respect to the horizontal down the incline. (a)
How long does it take the cannonball to hit the ground? (b)
How far down the incline does the cannonball hit the ground?

Example 5: Billy is standing at the top of a 35 slope that is 20 m long. He
is bored, so he decides to throw a stink bomb down the incline
to see what happens. The bomb is thrown with a speed of 6 m/s
at 15 above the horizontal and 1.6 m above the ground. Find
(a) the time it takes for the bomb to hit the ground and (b) how
far down the incline it goes.
