Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the Thanksgiving long weekend, we have plenty for which to be grateful. Our school
continues to grow and add new families to our community. Welcome to everyone who has joined the
school.

Thursday we celebrated a Thanksgiving liturgy at the Cathedral and concluded a successful food drive.
Thank you to 8G and 7D classes for organizing.

As the district needs continue to change, there are times when administrators will be moved during the
year. Ms. Nana has been the Assistant Principal at St. Monica since August of 2021. Her leadership skills
are currently needed at another district school, and she will be moving to St. Pius effective October 10.
We are grateful for her kind presence at the school and wish her well at St. Pius.

Due to our growth, we now qualify for a Vice Principal and welcome Mr. Drew Martin who will be joining
us from Our Lady of the Assumption School. We look forward to having Mr. Martin join us next week.

Thank you to the families in our Grade One-Two class who have been waiting patiently for a teacher
who will be there for the remainder of the school year. We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Zuniga will
be joining our staff next week. She is very excited to join our staff.

A reminder that Monday, October 9 is Thanksgiving. There will be NO SCHOOL this day. Classes will
resume on Tuesday, October 10.

Later this month we will have class and individual photos taken on Tuesday, October 24.
