Faculty Meetings - Spring 2024 This faculty meeting was to address several concerning student
behaviors that were happening across the school. Teachers and administration discussed what
Social Studies Department Meetings- Spring 2024 These meetings discussed the goals of the
departments both short and long term. In addition, topics such as roles within the department,
Special Education Department Meetings- Spring 2024 These meetings discussed the goals of
the departments both short and long term. In addition, topics such as staffing, date collection,
progress notes, parent contact and policies were discussed during department meetings.
Mandated Reporting Training- Spring 2024 This training went over what qualifies as needing
to be reported and how to go about reporting specific signs of abuse and/or neglect. The training
also outlined what signs should be looked for in order to notice abuse or neglect.
Workplace Violence Training- Spring 2024 In this training what can qualify as workplace
violence including violence with other staff members, students, and those not employed by or
attending the school. This training reviewed who you can report this violence to and emphasized
Students Act. In addition, the importance of pronouns were discussed and how to make
transgender students feel not only comfortable but safe within the classroom.
First Year Planning Training- Spring 2024 This training went over techniques for lesson
planning. The training outlined the Danielson Model and helped me to better understand how to
Google Enterprise Training- Spring 2024 In this training various aspects of Google Enterprise
were reviewed and taught. Some aspects reviewed were Docs, Slides, Mail, Sheets, Forms, and
Keep. Updates to Google Enterprise were also discussed and there was a focus on the less used
AI Exploration within the Classroom- Spring 2024 This training went over the benefits and
downfalls of the up and coming AI technology. Various AI websites were discussed and how we
can use these resources to benefit our students. Some of these websites provided tools
projects.
collaborated with my supervisor for two or more hours each week on topics including teaching
strategies, formative assessment, unit development, engaging students, levels of questions, how
around child endangerment and mandatory reporting. In addition, we were given guidance
over ninety hours of direct involvement in classrooms in both Vermont and New York areas. I
observed two different professionals that each had their own style of instruction and
communication with students. I worked with students, taught a lesson, and reflected on my
observation notes.
