significantly impacted mobile technology development. However, challenges arose due
to the release of the Iphone and other technology trends.The success factors of
BlackBerry Limited included a large engineering team and early entry into the
smartphone market. The company's innovation stemmed from strong engineering
capabilities, positioning itself as one of the leading pioneers in the smartphone industry.
Despite all of the success, challenges emerged in adapting to industry changes and
smartphone evolution, impacting BlackBerry's market share.
His entrepreneurial journey, founding RIM at a young age, made for technological
evolution. It highlights the complexities of the ups and downs in entrepreneurship and
innovation. While management optimizes a process and resource utilization,
entrepreneurship involves risk-taking, fostering innovation, and navigating uncertainties
to create impactful outcomes. In this case, I feel that Lazaridis is a perfect example of
how entrepreneurship is distinctly different from traditional management.
