Tyler Clouse Rec Letter
Tyler Clouse Rec Letter
Tyler is driven. He is on a journey of improvement and learning and he is passionate about this
journey. I have been a high school ELA teacher for 20 years and RARELY do I find colleagues who
understand the incontrovertible truth that great teachers are also great LEARNERS. Tyler gets this
and he is on a mission to gain as much knowledge and experiences and critical thinking about his
craft as possible. It is refreshing to see
Tyler also approaches our profession with fresh eyes and unique experiences from past professional
and career experiences. He is abundantly creative in his lesson planning and understands that all
students need structure and high expectations - as well as engaging lessons - to find success.
Tyler’s past experiences also give him a unique perspective and vision on the process of learning that
we do not focus on enough in the business of teaching and learning: he SEES lifelong learning. He
understands that his students are not being “taught” to pass a test or get a credit or get a grade;
rather that HE is in charge of creating lifelong learners who understand learning and want to learn
and are curious about the world around them and seek understanding and knowledge because they
want to better themselves and push their own limits and life experiences. He understands this
because he is doing it himself.
He is such an impressive young man. Please hire him, admit him, get him, keep him - he will only add
value to your program and his future students will continue to benefit from his journey of learning
and discovery.
Sincerely,
Ted Halbert
