1. Direct integration: Given a function f (x) and an interval [a, b], the definite
integral is equal to the bounded area between the graph of f (x), the abscissa
axis, and the vertical lines x = a and x = b.

2. Riemann integral: In the branch of mathematics known as real analysis, the

Riemann integral, created by Bernhard Riemann in an article published in 1854,
was the first rigorous definition of the integral of a function on an interval.

3. Horizontal asymptote: is a line to which the graph of such a function continually

approaches; that is, the distance between the two tends to be zero as they
extend indefinitely. Or that both present an asymptotic behavior.
4. Implicit derivative: The implicit derivative of an implicit function is obtained by
deriving the function, after solving for the variable y, which is what is considered
a dependent variable considering that it is a function of x. An implicit function is
one for which the dependent variable is not clear.

5. Derivatives: In differential calculus and mathematical analysis, the derivative of

a function is the instantaneous rate of change with which the value of said
mathematical function varies, as the value of its independent variable changes.

6. Trigonometric integrals: An integral is called trigonometric when its integrand is

composed of trigonometric and constant functions.
7. Substitution of integrals: Integration by substitution, also known as substitution
or change of variables, is a method for evaluating integrals and antiderivatives. It
is the counterpart of the chain rule for differentiation, and can be freely thought of
as using the chain rule "backwards".
