Introductory Read a short text. Then, let the students identify and check if the sentences in the
Activity paragraph are related to each other.
Activity Group yourselves into three. Each of the group will be given a paragraph.
Identify the properties used in the sentence.
Analysis Present your work in class and give comments to the work of other groups.
Abstraction The teacher asks the class to share their answers to the following questions:
a. What is coherence? Cohesion?
b. Why are these properties essential to a written text?
The teacher gives additional input to the topic.
Application Let the learners read texts with errors and let them rewrite the texts observing
coherence and cohesion.
Assessment Give them a story and let them sequence the correct events of the story utilizing
cohesive devices to achieve a well-written text.
Assignment Is language use essential in writing a paragraph or essay? Why?
Concluding There will be an assigned group to present a song that inspire them to use their new
