A. Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson, students are expected to be able to:


 Analyze the social function of the report text.
 Analyze the structure of report text.
 Analyze the language features of the text.
 Analyze social functions, text structure, and language features in Report Text,
according to the context of its use appropriately and well.
 Prepare spoken and written report text related to the technology covered in
other subjects in Grade 10, by paying attention to social functions, text
structure, and language features, correctly and in context.
B. Learning Activities

Meeting 1 ( 2 x 45 minutes ) Time

Opening
Orientation: Teacher greets the students.
Motivation: Teacher asks the class leader to pray together.
Apperception: 10 minutes
 Teacher checks the students’ attendance.
 Teacher asks some questions for warming up.
 Asking students to guess today’s lesson.
Main Activity

 Students are given motivation or stimulation to focus on the


topic (report text) by observing, reading, and paying attention
to the displayed materials.
 The teacher explains while displaying the report text materials
such as the definition, the generic structure, the purpose, and
the language features of report text while the students listen to
the teacher’s explanation.
75 minutes
 Students are formed in several groups; each group consists of 4-
5 students. They will discuss and collect information to make a
report text.
 Each group will present their work in front of the class and the
other groups will give them some feedbacks.
 The teacher and the students will make a conclusion about the
materials that they have learned.
 The teacher gives opportunity for the students to ask something
related to report text.
Closing

 Teacher gives a brief review about the material that they have
learned. 5 minutes
 Teacher gives an assignment and tell the next meeting’s
material.
 Teacher ends the lesson.
