Context:

The Senior High School Curriculum’s main component is work


immersion. Work immersion is necessary to SHS students considering that it
prepares senior high school students for college courses and future careers. It
helps build students’ awareness, interest, and readiness for their preferred
college courses.

Instilling in students the values, work ethic, and competencies necessary


for continuing their education or entering the workforce is one of the objectives
of the K–12 Basic Education Program. Work Immersion, a required subject, has
been incorporated into the curriculum. This subject will provide learners with
opportunities;

1.To gain practical experience and insight into the operations of Food
Industry .

2.to become familiar with the work place;

3.for employment simulation; and

4.to put their specialized knowledge and applied subjects to use in real-
world professional environments.

Therefore, Work Immersion is a prerequisite for secondary education


completion in order to accomplish the aforementioned goals. Students are
placed in real work settings, including offices, laboratories, and workshops,
where their previous knowledge and skills are applicable. As mentioned in
Dep.’s Section 1. Ed. Section 30 of Order No. in 2017.

Expectations: It aims to make the learners:

1. Develop practical skills relevant to the field:

Cooking technique’s
Budgeting and resource management

2. Learn about industry standards and best practices:


Food safety and sanitation regulations
Consumer rights and responsibilities

3. Enhance communication and teamwork skills:

Collaborate with peers and professionals


Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Receive and implement feedback constructively

4. Apply problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios:

Adapt to unexpected challenges


Troubleshoot issues independently or collaboratively
Implement creative solutions to overcome obstacles

5. Demonstrate professionalism and work ethic:

Maintain punctuality and attendance


Dress appropriately for the workplace
Show respect towards supervisors, coworkers, and clients
Take initiative and show eagerness to learn and contribute

6. Reflect on personal growth and learning experiences:

Keep a journal or log of daily activities and reflections


Identify strengths and areas for improvement
Set goals for continued learning and skill development.
