BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVITY
Name of the Activity 4th Quarter Portfolio Day
Date: July 10, 2021
Venue: Caloloma Elementary School
Participants: School Head, Teacher, Parents, Division Monitor
Description: Portfolio Day is an activity done every quarter after every periodical
examination. It showcases the learner’s written and performance
outputs and a chance for parents and teachers to discuss important
matters on the child’s development.
Objectives: The objectives of Portfolio Day are the following:
 To showcase pupils’ output on their written and performance
tasks.
 To discuss learners’ development, issues and problems through
parent-teacher conference/meeting
 To distribute report cards and be signed by the parents
 To give recognition to the identified outstanding pupils by grade
level
 To share updates, advisories and memorandum about DepEd
programs and policies
Highlights: - Parents were able to witness their children’s milestones through
written outputs and projects
- Awarding of Certificate of Recognition to outstanding pupils.
Post Activity Evaluation - The activity was successfully done with the cooperation and
teamwork of teachers and parents. The parents were delighted
as they were able to sign the report cards of their learners.
- The parent-teachers conference was very useful as they were
able to discuss development of the children and issues
encountered in the new normal education.
- Parents were very much honored upon receiving the awards of
their pupils.
Methodology The activity started with an Interfaith Prayer, led by Minerva T. Soria and
it was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem
conducted by Sheryl E. Arcallana. The attendance of parents from
Kindergarten-Grade 6 was acknowledged by Marry Ann I. Orquia. The
Inspirational message was delivered by Mrs. Elisa E. Balbuena, TIC. She
stressed that education must continue even amid the pandemic. After
that, the parent-teachers conference opened the floor for the sharing of

 experiences, best practices and issues that the parents encountered in
the new normal education.

The activity was managed by the School with the help of the teachers.
Protocols on health and safety were strictly followed.
Food and snacks were prepared by the teachers. Alcohol, hand sanitizers
and digital thermometer were prepared to make sure everyone is safe
and has no symptoms of COVID 19.
 Parents should take note the schedule of Portfolio Day so they
can adjust in their schedules
 Follow up parents and pupils regarding submission of projects to
ensure 100% submission
 Encourage 100% participation of parents and stakeholders
through early information dissemination
