Before the orientation proper, the principal acknowledge the presence of the members
of General Parents and Teacher Association headed by their hardworking and motivated
president Mrs. Rowena Briones, the leader of DQRT team, Mr. Noel Diaz, the passionate
faculty president of the school Mrs. Maricel G. Cubio and all the parents who attended in the
orientation.
Based on the guidelines and in view with the current context of the school, Mayapa
ES will hold two (2) classes for each level for the limited face-to-face classes: the following
were the identified teachers who will conduct classes.

The principal ensured that these classes is based from the Deped Memorandum No. 71,
s.2021 these participating learners are the priorities
a. Learners who reside within the barangay where the school is located.
b. Learners who can walk their way to school or ride with available transportation
c. Learners without existing comorbidities
d. Learners who require childcare, such ad those parents must work outside the
home, or who have no directly available and immediately responsible
adults/guardians at home
e. Learners who are heavily dependent on face-to-face learning interventions such as
key Stage 1 learners (Kindergarten to Grade 3)
f. Learners who struggle to meet required learning competencies
Meanwhile, after the school head gave his opening remarks, the faculty president and
the master teacher Ma’am Maricel Cubio reminded the teachers to work hand in hand to
ensure the safety of each learner and teacher in the implementation of face-to-face classes.
She also discussed the needed personal protective equipment such as waring of face mask,
hygiene kit for each learner, COVID 19 team members, health personnel, and other protective
gears for learners. In addition, Ma’am Cubio also mentioned that the school need to
accomplish the following: seats to be occupied must at at least 1-2 meters apart, number of
seats shall be equivalent to the number of learners present, presence of markers and stickers
on the floor to manage traffic system and physical distancing inside the classroom,
availability of working electric fans, open windows and doors at all times and availability of a
sterilization box where outputs submitted by the learners will be placed for disinfection.

Moreover, the devoted school DRRM coordinator, Mr. Ernani Orogo mentioned that
School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) will be discussed by the school principal. This tool
shall be used to assess the readiness of the school to participate in the conduct of the pilot
implementation of face-to-face learning modality in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The data gathered shall be used as baseline information in preparation for the safe reopening
of classes. Sir Rey Borillo discussed the following: (1) managing school Operations, (2)
Focusing on Teaching and Learning, (3) Well-being and Protection, and (4) Home-School
Coordination. According to Sir Rey this tool contains indicators and standards that would
show readiness of the schools to participate in the pilot implementation of the face-to-face
learning modality if met.
Before the orientation ends, Sir Ernani Orogo requested the teachers to be more
cooperative and make sure that honesty and transparency should always be observed by
everyone.
