3 Technical Description
Cell phone bombs, that is, bombs exploded by terrorists using cell phones, severely threaten people
property. Huawei analyzes the principle of cell phone bombs made by terrorists, and implements the
solution of deleting DL DTMF messages to prevent bomb attacks controlled through cell phones.
This feature shields the DL DTMF messages on the user plane and control plane of the Abis interface. In
this case, after the call is set up, the called cell phone will not receive DTMF signals. In this manner,
terrorists cannot use DTMF signals to control the called cell phone to explode bombs.
By shielding DL DTMF signals, this feature enhances the GBSS network security.
