This ability requires brewing utensils as well as
ingredients. You can refill on ingredients with a
successful roll for BUSHCRAFT. You will then
find ingredients for D6 simple brews. Rare and
unique ingredients, for more advanced and
potent brews, are more difficult to replace, GM

Optional Rule - Mage and Brewmaster


A mage who acquires the heroic ability learns to brew a potion that absorbs the magical power of some
of the mage's spells. The power is bound until the brew is used. A potion requires rare or unique herbs
and substances. The mage does not need a recipe book but can write down the recipes in the spell
book. The brew takes a shift to brew and costs 3 WP/spell level, the potion for magic tricks costs 2 WP.
No Seal/Permanence spell can perpetuate the brew itself. The power of the potion will be equal to the
power level chosen by the mage when the spell is cast.
The cost of brewing a magic potion is the cost of the heroic ability + the cost of the spell. The cost
cannot be spread over several shifts. Example: A healing potion, power level 2, costs 6 + 4 WP to produce. A
magic potion, Sensing magic, costs 2+1 WP to make.
