NEX Flash Dismantling
NEX Flash Dismantling
To see inside the NEX flash, you must peel off the left and right
sides with double-sided plastic sheets. Insert a very thin blade into it,
slide it left and right, and you're basically done.

There are two screws on the left and right sides, four in total.

It seems that my Parkinson's disease has struck again and my shots
are blurry.
The way the clips are removed can be used as a schematic diagram.

There is a spring on the left and right sides of the flash, which is
used to give the flash the flexibility to raise and lower its head.
On the opposite side of the circuit on the far left side of the
picture is the flash switch. Raising or lowering your head will affect
the status of the flash here. The clip just now was also used to protect
this place. We will talk about this part of the switch later.

The lamp head can now be lifted up so that the circuitry of the flash
can be seen clearly.

side of the circuit board. I can't take macro shots, so I'll take a
rough look.

On the back, there should be a double-layer circuit board.

See the black dot in the track under the two screws? I don't have any
drawing tools at hand, so I can only describe it in words: Now with the
flash off, there is a bump on the right side.

Now that the light is on, the bump has moved to the left (I can't see
it clearly, it's in the slot under the two screws, moving left and
right).

Okay, let's continue dismantling. Unscrew the two bottom screws.

The screws and shell used to fix the fuselage can be easily removed.

Remove the upper cover. Note that there is a movable plastic spacer
on the side of the switch, don't lose it. I don't have drawing software
and can't mark the location.

What it looks like after taking off the plastic piece. You can
compare the position of the plastic piece, near the switch. Because the
two wires running here are power supplies, the plastic piece should be
added to avoid short circuits.

Now the contacts can be gently pulled out of the final shell.

Then take off the bottom case of the lamp and get completely naked!
