Finance is one of the biggest and most common issues in our society even then until now, Which

can
lead to a family conflict and can also affect the academic performance of a student. According to
(Menard O.,2019), even though wages are going up, families still struggle to make ends meet because
they're always paying bills and have nothing left for savings. When someone in the family is stressed
about money, it can also cause a lot of other problems too. They might feel lonely, sad, or even start
fighting with each other according to (Neppl, T. K., Senia, J. M., & Donnellan, M. B., 2016) which can
into unhealthy habits like drinking or gambling based on the study of (Jones, Savage & Van Gool,
2014).

These financial problems can affect the academic performance of the students too as (Nurazlan, Yusuf,
and Al-Majdhoub 2020) emphasizes that the financial situation of students has a significant impact on
their academic achievement. In the Philippines, specifically in Davao City where most of the students
come from poor families.

Also, the study of (Crescenza et al., 2021), showed how money problems at home can really mess up a
student's school life. Money problems don't just stay in the background either. They can cause fights at
home between family members, making everything feel tense and stressful.

If we can find ways to help families with their money issues and create a more supportive environment,
it could make a huge difference for students. Whether it's through scholarships, financial aid, or just
lending a helping hand to families in need, every little bit counts.
