1 Open cap (6) of expansion reservoir (7) for
coolant, relieve the overpressure and tighten
down cap (6)
2 Pinch off coolant hoses (2, 5) with clamping l Clamp *000589543700

3 Remove coolant hoses (2, 5) at exhaust gas i Collect the escaping coolant in a suitable
recirculation positioner (Y27/11 oder Y27/17) container.
i Installation: Inspect condition of collar
clamps, replace if necessary.
4 Disconnect electrical connection (4) at exhaust
gas recirculation positioner (Y27/11 or Y27/17)
5 Remove screw/bolts (1) n Exhaust gas recirculation valve to housing *BA14.20-N-1006-01H
l Set of flexible head wrenches *001589810900
6 Pull out exhaust gas recirculation positioner i Installation: Replace seal.

7 Clean sealing surfaces on exhaust gas
recirculation valve housing
8 Clean sealing surfaces on exhaust gas For re-installation of a removed exhaust gas
recirculation positioner (Y27/11 or Y27/17) recirculation positioner (Y27/11 or Y27/17)
9 Install in the reverse order
10 Connect diagnostic system, clear fault memoryFor replacement of the exhaust gas
