Acrostic Poem
Description: Students describe a topic (person, place, event, book character, or
other subject) by listing facts that begin with the letters in the spelling of the topic.

What to Do:
1. Select your topic.
2. Write the letters of your topic in capital letters in the boxes going
down the page. If you need more lines for the letters in your topic, use
the template as a model to create your own on a separate sheet of paper.
3. Use each letter in the topic to start a word, phrase, or sentence that
tells something about the topic.
4. Use the books you have read to help you with ideas for your poem.
