Answer:

Star Wars Kid is the nickname given to Ghyslain Raza, a Canadian teenager who filmed
himself fighting against imaginary sentries with a golf-ball retriever, as though it were a
double-sided light saber wielded by the antagonist Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I.
Over the last decade, it is estimated that the original, unmodified Star Wars Kid video has
accumulated over one billion views.

Is it wrong to post a photo or video of someone else on the Internet without their
permission?” In my own opinion, it's wrong to post a photo or a video of someone else
even if we know them or do not know because, Every person has the right to manage
how their photographs and videos, as well as other personal information, are shared. This
basic right was infringed in the case of the Star Wars Kid by the unapproved sharing of
his private moments. The internet changed from being a place for polite conversation to
a stage for public humiliation without the person's permission. There are impacts on
individuals in our actions by posting them on social media without permission For example
the Star Wars Kid experienced considerable abuse, ridicule, and psychological hardship
as a result of the video's viral nature. The effect on his mental health is a sobering
reminder of the actual repercussions that might occur when private information is
disclosed without taking the person's well-being into account.

The Star Wars Kid case is a clear illustration of the moral dilemmas raised by the
unapproved internet sharing of private material. The need to protect privacy, get
permission, and think through the possible repercussions of sharing material only grows
as technology develops. Promoting a culture of responsible digital citizenship that
emphasizes moral concerns and other people's well-being online is crucial for both
individuals and society at large.
An insightful illustration of the moral conundrums posed by distributing information online
without permission is the "Bus Uncle" incident, which happened in Hong Kong in 2006. In
one instance, an angry altercation between two people on a bus was captured on camera
by an onlooker and posted online. When the video went viral, it inadvertently made the
"Bus Uncle" famous, invaded his privacy, and sparked a discussion about the ethics of
distributing such footage without consent.

Information sharing and consumption have undergone a radical change in the digital era.
Social media platforms, in particular, have developed into effective instruments for self-
expression, communication, and information distribution. However, the loss of personal
privacy is a price that comes with this greater connectedness. When photos and videos
of people appear online, often without their knowledge or agreement, people are
frequently unintentionally subjected to public scrutiny. Respecting someone's right to
privacy is an essential ethical precept. This right is violated when someone takes and
shares another person's picture or video without that person's permission. The foundation
of ethical behavior is consent, and in the digital era, getting express consent before
sharing personal material is essential. Failing to do so may have unforeseen
repercussions, including harm to one's reputation, psychological discomfort, and betrayal
of trust. Unauthorized material sharing on the internet serves as another example of the
power relations that exist in the digital sphere. The person who records and disseminates
the material takes on the role of a gatekeeper, selecting what is made public and what
stays private. It is possible to take advantage of this power dynamic, which might result
in the deception of others or the exploitation of weak people. Such behaviors have effects
that go beyond the simple act of giving; they also have an impact on how people are
viewed and handled in society.

In conclusion, there are serious ethical issues raised by the debate about whether it is
improper to share a picture or video of someone online without that person's consent.
The "Bus Uncle" incident is a sobering reminder of what might happen when someone's
right to privacy is disregarded. Prioritizing permission, respect, and responsible online
behavior is essential as we traverse the digital age in order to create a digital environment
that preserves moral principles and shields people from unnecessary exposure.
