“2012” REFLECTION PAPER

In the film, it shows a discovered of the Earth's temperature that is increasing due to solar
radiation, causing the Earth's core to melt and the tectonic plates to shift drastically. This leads to
a series of catastrophic natural disasters, including massive earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic
eruptions.I would expect to see a series of catastrophic natural events. This could include
earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and other destructive phenomena. 2012 is an epic
adventure about a global cataclysm that brings end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of
the survivors. The events depicted in the movie are purely fictional and not based on scientific
evidence or predictions.
The film's intense action sequences and suspenseful moments create an adrenaline-fueled
experience for viewers. This can be connected to the real-life experience of heightened emotions
during times of crisis or disaster. The film taps into our primal instincts of fight-or-flight
response, immersing viewers in the characters' struggle for survival. Viewers may feel fear,
empathy, and relief as they witness the characters' struggles and sacrifices. This emotional
engagement can be connected to the empathy and compassion we feel for others during times of
crisis in real life. It reminds us of the human capacity for resilience and the importance of
supporting one another. Viewers may form emotional connections with the characters in "2012"
as they witness their struggles and triumphs. This identification allows viewers to empathize with
the characters' experiences and root for their survival. This connection mirrors the real-life
tendency to empathize with and support others during times of crisis.
2012 is a 2009 American science fiction disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich,
written by Emmerich and Harald Kloser, and stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor,
Oliver Platt, Thandiwe Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson. Based on the 2012
phenomenon, its plot follows geologist Adrian Helmsley (Ejiofor) and novelist Jackson Curtis
(Cusack) as they struggle to survive an eschatological sequence of events including earthquakes,
volcanic eruptions, megatsunamis, and a global flood. In 2012, a new type of neutrino begins
streaming out of the Sun after a bizarre of solar flare. The neutrinos heat the Earth's core,
triggering a whole host of problems all over the globe. In reality, neutrinos have very little mass
and only interact nominally through the weak force and gravity.
My expectations of the movie “2012” were met, It delivers on intense action and suspense,
showcasing a series of catastrophic events that keeps me engaged and on the edge of my seat. I
can assist in generating clear and concise emergency communication messages, such as
evacuation instructions, safety tips, and updates on relief efforts. These messages can be
disseminated through various channels, including social media platforms. I can provide real-time
updates on the situation, including weather conditions, evacuation routes, and areas to avoid.
And I can offer guidance on disaster preparedness, including creating emergency kits,
developing evacuation plans, and implementing safety measures. This information can help
individuals and communities be better prepared for future disasters.
