*Sign Language starts when Leigh Anne starts to speak* - Kian Punay
Reporter (Leigh Deguzman): Thank you, chloe. I am here in Tacloban City to check the current
condition of the weather and the residents here. I have spoken to a few residents here, including
Renske who will describe the harrowing experience of being trapped in their homes as the storm
rages on outside.
Reporter (Leigh Anne): Can you tell us about your experience during the storm?
Resident [Renske Rance]: It was like nothing I've ever experienced before. The wind was so
strong that it felt like our roof was going to be torn off.
Reporter (Leigh Anne): How did you manage to stay safe?
Resident [Renske Rance]: We were lucky enough to have a strong house and we were able to
stay inside, but it was still terrifying.
Reporter [Leigh Anne]: What do you think the situation is like for others who might not have
been as fortunate?
Resident [Renske Rance]: I can only imagine how much worse it must be for them.
Reporter [Leigh Anne]: Typhoon Daluyong has already taken many people’s lives, while others
are still evacuating. The Philippine government and local authorities have activated their disaster
response plans and are assisting individuals who are in need.
Host (Neo): As Daluyong continues to affect our country, we urge everyone to stay at home and
stay safe. Please follow the guidance of local authorities.
Host (Chloe): That is all for today’s news. Thank you for watching and stay tuned for further
