2. Answer the following questions:

a. What are the various role of Historians and explain the importance of each role in
writing History?

A. Narrator, recorder, researcher, analyst and interpreter. All of this has contributed a
huge amount in what we know as history today, as they gave a clearer picture that
helped us understand the context of history. The Narrator, as we all know from the word
narrate. The narrator has helped depict the different events in history that help the
people who will read the context to be less confusing and for them to feel they're in the
context itself. Recorder, we wouldn't know about the history if there aren't any records of
it. From the events that had a huge impact and made a huge change in our society to
the simple event that made our culture or the culture of others is recorded by historians
to really show that everything should be recorded as this can be a key to a big change
in the future. Researchers, historians are known to be researchers of the past. For us to
know and learn they have to take their time and effort to research every small detail to
the birthday, death or even the favorite food of some of the people who is important to
our society for us to know what they like as a person. But also this is not only about a
person but also a place because not every place as we know today is the same as
before and this can only be known through deep research. Analyst, not everything is the
truth. As we know some history contexts are fabricated to be in favor of someone or
something. Analyzing each context of the history can help the readers and the future
generations to know the truth and the real story behind it. Because teaching them the
fabricated one isn't only a disgrace but also the reason for the real story to fade away.
Interpreters translate and also reveal the different meanings from the past that are
slowly being translated for it to be relevant to the current time.

b. What are the three main skills use by the Historians and explain the importance of
each skills in writing history?
B. Sourcing, Corroboration, Contextualization. These are the three main skills of a
historian and all of them have become a contribution. First, Sourcing. This is an
understanding of the documents or different information and because of this they're
determining on why and who wrote it. Second, Corroboration. Without any support to
the document it would be deemed as unreliable this is where the Corroboration would
take a part as this is known to confirm or support any documents. Third and last, The
Contextualization. This is a skill that helps connect each historical event, from time,
place and the event. As this can give a big picture on what is happening in the event
and when and why it happens.

c. As a college student, how can you communicate the value of studying and
understanding history to others?

C. As a college student I would be a lot more vocal and what is the purpose of learning
about history in our life. As this can give us a lot of context about our life this is also can
be beneficial as history would help you gain more knowledge and experiences that you
can learn from so you can know what to do and what are the things to avoid. As a
student of political science, history is known to be one of the most connected to politics
as a lot of our historical events happened because of politicians or many more conflicts
in that branch. And because of this I want to use my voice to people to be aware of what
happened in the past and learn from it because we should never forget history as this is
what became the pillars and foundation of what we are today as a society.
