a) What evidence is presented in the paragraph to support the claim that digital detox leads to
better health and lifestyle?

 The evidence which is presented in the paragraph to support the claim that digital detox leads
to better health and lifestyle is the new studies conducted that show the elevated percentage of
smartphone addiction amongst different types of people, therefore leading to other toxic
behaviours that can affect them poorly.
b) How credible are the sources mentioned in the paragraph, such as the study in Japan and the
psychologist Dr Kia-Rai Prewitt?
 The sources mentioned in the paragraph like the study in Japan and the psychologist Dr Kia-
Rai Prewitt credibility can depend on different factors such as reputation, methods, reviews,
professional qualifications and many more which can affect the reliability of these sources which
used in this paragraph which are from my point of view are trustworthy cause we also live these
phenomena in our lives which we can notice in the methodology employed.

 The paragraph generalizes some issues related to digital device usage while it also
acknowledges that these concerns may not apply to everyone which is shown in the study
conducted.

 The paragraph assumes that many if not most people are addicted to their phones negatively,
and didn’t address the variety of usage of these devices.

excessive digital device usage are: Decreased of physical and mental health which is mentioned
firstly, furthermore, the paragraph also shines the light on body dysmorphia that’s caused by the
different expectations of the perfect body image, and also bullying.

 Different viewpoints can always be found especially on controversial topics like the one in
our hands, for example we can instead of cutting ties with our devices, moderate our usage and
trying to minimize it so it wouldn’t fully consume us, or other studies that counts cultural
differences and positivity or on bigger scales.

 No, Digital Detox is the only solution suggested in the paragraph and all the ideas that are

 New things are being made to help with too much phone use. Some phones now have
features to help you use them less. There are also apps that can stop you from using certain
apps for a while. And some devices you wear can remind you to move around more. Fun stuff
like virtual reality can also help you do things away from screens. People are also teaching about
this and making sure the internet is safe. All these things are meant to help people not use their
phones too much and be healthier
