REPORT – AWARENESS SEMINAR ON SAVE SOIL MOVEMENT AND CRISIS OF SOIL EXTINCTION

UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF LEGAL STUDIES, PANJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH.

National Service Scheme, Law Unit in collaboration with Legal Aid society and Centre for Women
Development, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a
seminar on 9 May, 2022 under the chief patronage of Prof. Raj Kumar (Vice Chancellor, Panjab
University) and patron Prof. Ashwani Kaul (NSS Programme Coordinator, Panjab University). The
campaign was hosted by Prof. Rajinder Kaur (Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab
University).

Information and awareness regarding the soil movement and crisis of soil extinction was
corroborated by the Guest Speaker, namely, Dr. Mona Chopra . The event was conducted with great
enthusiasm. The event was conducted successfully under the guidance and efforts of teacher
coordinators Dr. Amita Verma (P.O, NSS Law Unit), Dr. Karan Jawanda (LAS Teacher Coordinator) and
Dr. Anupam Bahri (LAS Teacher coordinator) as well as the student coordinators Ujjawal Aggarwal ,
Damanpreet Kaur and Ramyajit Kaur. At last this was the great initiative taken up to create
awareness regarding soil movement and crisis of soil extinction.
