**Procedure:**

**4. Controlled Practice (15 minutes):**

- Divide the class into pairs or small groups.

- Provide each group with a set of sentence cards containing incomplete third conditional sentences.

- Instruct students to complete the sentences on the cards and then share their completed sentences with
the group.

- Monitor the groups and provide feedback as needed.

**5. Production Activity (10 minutes):**

- Show pictures or realia representing different past scenarios, such as a car accident, a missed flight, or
a failed exam.

- Have students discuss in pairs or small groups what might have happened differently if things had
been different using the third conditional.
