About the project

The project “3CO in Youth Work” will take place in Murzasichle, a mountain town near
Zakopane, between 11-19 October and it’s organized within the framework of the European
program Erasmus+ (KA 1), bringing together 24 youth workers from 8 different countries,
namely Lithuania, Romania, Türkiye, Netherlands, Spain, Macedonia, Czechia and Poland.

The main goal of the project is to improve youth workers’ capacity for supporting young
refugees' integration into social and economic life. Specifically, we want to:
• equip 24 youth workers with tools and methods to support young refugees in their local
community.
• growing network among 8 European youth organizations to better understand needs
of newly arrived migrant/refugee youth.
• create a Toolkit for up-skilling refugee youth through various practices

The participants will be youth workers and educators active in education


sector living in partner country, between 18 - 40 years old, directly working
with young people or interested to work with refugee youth.

The project venue is U Tośki, a beautiful guest house in Murzasichle. Participants will be
accommodated in rooms for 2 or 3 people with private bathroom (towels included). There is WiFi
internet at the location.
Accommodation, travel and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Are covered by the organizers. Menu is standard for all participants. Special diets need to
be mentioned by participants in the application form.

The location has entertainment facilities, such as sauna, jacuzzi and


gym. Activities will be organized indoor (conference room) and
outdoor.
Weather

Since the training is organized in a mountain


region, weather can get coldish and
unpredictable in October. Expect no more
than 11-12 degrees during the day, and 1-3
degrees during the night. It generally feels cold
in Murzasichle during October. Bring with you
various outfit, including warm clothes for the

We strongly recommend you to get a health insurance, in case the temperature is constant and warm.

European Health Card which you can get for free in your
health office. We recommend each participant to have a valid
travel insurance. We are here to help and guide you for your
travel.

Selected participants can buy the plane tickets ONLY AFTER they
confirm with us the proposed flight itineraries. For validation of travel,
send your proposed travel itinerary by email to
dgtpolska.ngo@gmail.com.
The international travel for participants can be made either by plane,
train or bus.
Personal car or taxi travel cannot be reimbursed.
The arrival and departure days for the Training Course are:
11 October 2023 (arrival day) 19 October 2023 (departure day)
We recommend participants to plan their travel to Krakow, Poland.
Other nearby cities with good
connections for arriving to Poland
are Katowice and Warsaw. For those
of you who wish to spend extra time
in Poland for visiting purposes, it is
possible to book tickets with maximum Krakow airport (KRK) to Krakow city
2 days before arrival day and/or 2 center
days after departure day. Those who travel by plane will arrive
to Krakow airport (KRK). Use the

For participants who will be using other means of transport for arrival to Poland (e.g. bus
or train), please inform us about your itinerary so we can further guide you.

Krakow city center to Zakopane


For travelling to Zakopane you should use one of the multiple bus options. We recommend
FlixBus, which has multiple rides along the day. The travel by bus takes around 2 hours and
30 minutes. You should buy your ticket online in advance. One way ticket costs 7 to 10
euro, depending on the purchase moment.

Zakopane to Murzasichle (project venue). The distance is 10 km and can be done with local
bus. Inform us about your arrival time to Zakopane, so we can guide you.

The official currency is Poland is zloty (PLN). Average exchange rate is 1 EUR=4.5 PLN. In
most places you can pay by card. We recommend you to exchange a small amount of zloty,
you may need for small expenses or local bus.
The reimbursement:

WHO ATTEND ALL THE SESSIONS, COMMIT THEMSELVES
FULLY TO THE ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDE ALL ORIGINAL
TICKETS, BOARDING PASSES AND EMAIL RELATING TO
THEIR TRAVEL.

For the plane transport, the mandatory documents are:


1. Flight ticket / Invoice
2. Proof of payment (from online banking)
3. Boarding passes
The reimbursement:
We will reimburse the travel expenses after the end of the project (can take up to 1-2
months), only when all the travel documents presented above are provided. We can only
refund travel costs for which original tickets/ invoices/ boarding passes are provided. We
strongly recommend you to keep all the original travel documents with you, since we won’t be
able to refund them if we don’t receive them. Reimbursement will be made only by bank
transfer to the sending organizations, which will distribute the money to participants.
Personal car or taxi travel cannot be reimbursed.
