We are happy to inform you that the Erasmus KA153 mobility
of youth workers "ACTIVE” was approved by the European Union
Programme Agency (Malta NA) and supported by the Erasmus+:
Youth in Action grant.

The Training Course ACTIVE will take place in Marsaxlokk Youth


Activity Center, Malta (Xerriex, Marsaxlokk bus stop)
Days of activity: 07-13 June, 2023 ( 7 days excluding 2
travel days)
Arrival Day: 06 June, 2024
Departure Day: 14 June, 2024

the Info-Pack that will provide you with
the basic information you will need during
your
stay in Malta.
If you want to take part in this project, the first thing
what you must do is to fill the form.

The information provided by you in the


application form will help us to better
prepare our training for you to learn
the best of what we can.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The project will accept 4 participants from each participating country


(team leader included)

-Be of age 18 and above with no age limit.


-Having an active social role or interest in NEETs and debate will be taken into
account
-Having some background/interest in volunteering, Youth Workers, NGO officials
-Eager to support their country in developing democratic values or who want to
develop projects related to the topic in their countries.
-First-time participation in the international project will be also very welcome.
-Able to communicate in English fluently, but an exception can be made if a
person has valuable practical knowledge.
-Bring energy, respect and enthusiasm, being prepared to participate in all the
activities
-At least one laptop will be needed for each group.

We will refund only travel tickets that
we approved prior purchase!
We kindly ask you to choose the most economical and eco-friendly
way of transport (e.g. student fares, low cost airlines, 2nd class
trains, etc.).

Also, be aware of your travel cost limitation. We reimburse the


travel cost ONLY up to the limit designed for your country.

We will also reimburse only those ticket that will show:

1.the currency
2. dates of your travel
3. places you are traveling from/to and your name (or number
of passengers).

It is important to keep all your tickets (also from your local buses
and trains).

It is NOT possible to travel by car or taxi,


we will not reimburse it.
We will NOT cover any tickets purchased
through a TRAVEL AGENCY!
The travel costs within the budget limit of your country
(please see above) will be reimbursed after the youth
exchange to the bank account of your sending
organisation and only if these 4 conditions are fulfilled:

1) You gave all the ORIGINAL tickets to our


organization. It’s fundamental to bring the invoices or
the travel confirmations where is clearly shown the
price;
2) You attended the full duration of the
youth exchange;
3) You submitted all reports that our organization or
EU requested.
4) We need PDF of boarding pass (QR code is not valid)

Disclaimer: program participants are obligated to facilitate the widespread


distribution of the project. This dissemination effort may be conducted
through various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook,
LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, to share the project outcomes and
their personal experiences throughout the program's duration. The
dissemination posts are required to be publicly accessible for a period of 12
months, accessible to both the hosting organization and the EC. Failure to
comply with this requirement will result in the cancelation of the
participation.
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

Marsaxlokk Youth Centre: We are located in a privileged area of


Malta called Marsaxlokk, 7 minutes from the city port by walk and
where you will find many restaurants and cafes with a sea view.
We are surrounded by nature and tranquility.

Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Centre is situated in Marsaxlokk


Primarty School. It offeres accomodation for groups of up to 50
people.
Fifty (50) beds distributed on two floors in a combination of 2
and 3 beds per room.

Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center: St Francis Street, Marsaxlokk
MXK, 1432
This center is a 2-minute walk from a bus stop, a 7-minute walk
from the port.
The bright, spacious mixed rooms have free Wi-Fi, bunk beds,
shared bathrooms and, in some cases, balconies. Private rooms
include a desk. One suite has a private bathroom with a whirlpool
tub.
There is a TV room with fireplace, games room and bicycle rental
service.

All meals will be served in the hotel including (breakfast-


lunch- dinner). Vegan and Vegetarian foods will be cooked and
served at the Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center.

Kindly let us know about any specific dietary requirements,


allergies or special needs you have by filling out the form.
INTERCULTURAL EVENING

During the project, we plan to arrange an Intercultural evening.


You will present your own cultures – national, regional,
personal or any kind of culture you feel you belong to. A culture
may be presented by a song, a story, a poem, a dance, some
drink or food, etc. You may bring pictures, music or anything
which you consider to be most appropriate to present your
culture.
We appreciate if you find some creative way to present your
culture. We will not have a kitchen to prepare the meals for the
intercultural evening, so we suggest that you adapt your food
and drinks to that reality.

So, in short it should not be a presentation, it should be an


activity or something and it is up to you to replace the word
something.
WEATHER IN MALTA
March is usually mild, with temperatures about 12 to 20°C.
Keep in mind that the lowest temperatures refer to those that
you can find in the early morning. The weather can vary, so
please do check the weather forecast for Malta before you
pack your suitcase.

VISA APPLICATION

In case you need visa, please apply for them immediately as


we confirm your participation because it may take long time.
If you need an invitation letter from us, please let us know.

INSURANCE, MEDICAL AND SAFETY


ADVICES
Please, be aware that it is compulsory for all participants to
have travel insurance covering the whole duration of your stay
in Malta, including the days of your arrival and departure.
Travel insurance cannot be covered by us, but you are obliged
to arrange it by yourself when coming to Malta.
Most of the course will be held indoors. Take your medications
– it is good to take pills from your country (you know yourself
the best so take painkillers, antipyretic, something against cold
that works for you.

Participants must have HEALTH INSURANCE for traveling abroad. The project
budget does NOT cover travel insurance costs. Right after you arrange your health
insurance, please, scan it and send it to us. If you don't have health insurance, you
are not eligible to participate in the program and your participation will be
rejected immediately. Participants must fill out a health and safety form outlining
any pre- existing medical conditions, allergies, or medication they are taking.
The health insurance should meet the following criteria:

Comprehensive coverage: The insurance should provide comprehensivecoverage


for medical emergencies, accidents, and illnesses that may occurduring the
program.
Repatriation coverage: The insurance should provide repatriation coverage ifthe
participant needs to be transported back to their home country for
medicalreasons.

If you have any special needs (allergies, diets,


disabilities, disadvantages, etc.), please state them
clearly in the Application Form so we can arrange
everything in advance and we do not meet the problem
of solving your special needs problem after your arrival
to the Malta. Also, please take your medication with
yourself.

CURRENCY: The national currency is EURO
