MS WORD 2013/2016 Exercise No. 1 (Computer Courses for Educ.

1. Click the Start Button → All Programs → Microsoft Office 2013 → Word 2013

2. Margins: Left = 1.5 Right = 1.5


Top = 1.0 Bottom = 1.0 (Click Page Layout > Margins)

3. Paper Size: Letter (8½ x 11) – default paper size

4. Page Orientation: Portrait – default page orientation

5. Title (press the ENTER key 3x after you type the title)

a) Lettercase: All caps e) Alignment: Centered


b) Attribute: Bold f) Font Face: Calibri or Arial
c) Font Size: 14 g) Font Color: Blue
d) Boxed with fill effects
(use either gradient or texture) (Click Insert > Shapes)

6. At Home, in the Paragraph group, Click the Dialog Box Launcher, Click
Tabs

Tab Stop Settings: 0.25 – Alignment: Left Leader: None


5.00 – Alignment: Left Leader: 2
5.38 – Alignment: Right Leader: None
(Click View > Check the Ruler Option)
7. Line Spacing: 1.5

8. Body (Type as shown)


a) Font face & size: Calibri, 11
b) Font Color (including the tab leader character & the page number)
b.1) For the numbered text, use Blue
b.2) For the bulleted text, use Green
c) Use different bullets. You may use other bullet types instead of those
given.

9. Vertical Alignment: Center (Click Page Layout>Margins>Custom


Margins>Layout tab>Center)

10. Generate page border. (You may use any page border style EXCEPT Art)
(Click Design>Page Borders)
