Last year, on August 17th, I celebrated Indonesia's Independence Day with my family. We
woke up early in the morning to prepare for the flag-raising ceremony in our neighborhood. I
wore a red and white outfit to show my patriotism. After the ceremony, we went back home
and had breakfast together.

In the afternoon, we joined a parade in our town. We walked together with other people,
waving flags and singing national songs. It was a hot day, but we didn't mind because we
were having fun. After the parade, we went to a nearby park where there were many food
stalls and games. We played traditional games like sack races and tug of war, and we also
tried some delicious Indonesian food.

In the evening, we went back home and watched the Independence Day ceremony on TV. We
were proud to see the president and other officials giving speeches and honoring the heroes
who fought for our independence. We also watched a fireworks display, which was amazing.
Overall, it was a great day filled with joy and pride for our country. We were happy to
celebrate our independence with our family and friends, and we hope to do it again next year.
