Main idea sentence: On September 15, Mr. Robert Smith had
a motorcycle accident on route 397, Kennedy Street.

At 3:00 p.m., Robert Smith was driving straight on route 397 in


the rain.

He turned right at Kennedy Street.


3. He skidded on wet pavement.

4. He ran over two pedestrians.

5. The police arrived at 3:04 p.m.

6. The people involved in the accident reported how they felt.


7. The police took Mr. and Ms. Benet to the General Hospital.

8. Mr. Robert Smith drove home.


A Motorcycle Accident
Write a one-paragraph report using your main idea sentence, your outline, at least one
introductory phrase and at least one appositive. Remember to be precise.

On September 15, Robert Smith had a motorcycle accident on route 397, Kennedy
Street. At 3: pm, he was driving straight on route 397. It was raining. At Kennedy Street he
turned right. His motorcycle suddenly skidded on wet pavement. Ater that, he ran over
two pedestrians, Mr. and Ms. Benet. Moments later, the police arrived. Both pedestrians
reported hoe they felt. First, he said that was not injured. Then she said that her arm was
bruised. The police took Mr. and Ms. Benet to the General Hospital for examination. Mr.
Robert was able to drive home.
