The parable of the Good Samaritan is a story told by Jesus

to illustrate the concept with a man being attacked by robbers

and left half-dead by the roadside. A priest and a Levite pass by

without helping, but a Samaritan, despite being form a group

despised by the Jews, stops to help. The Samaritan clean the

man’s wounds, takes him to an inn, and pays for his care.

The story concludes with Jesus asking which of the three

was a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers. The answer is

the one who showed mercy- the Samaritan. Jesus tells the

listeners to “go and do likewise,” emphasize the importance of

compassionate action towards all people, regardless of their

background or status.

In essence, the Parables of the Good Samaritan teaches

about kindness, compassion, and the importance of helping

others in need, even if they are different from us.
