PROJECT: PIXEL CHRISTMAS COASTER

Scissors

Measuring tape

2 S-hooks

Tapestry needle

Brush

20 cm (8”) wooden dowel

Approx 13 m (14.2 yd) 3mm White braided cord

Approx 4 m (4.4 yd) 3mm Green braided cord

Approx 6 m (6.6 yd) 3mm Red braided cord

TIP: You can use 3mm single strand rope or twisted rope instead of braided cord for this project.

 PREPARATION

Cut the following for mounting cords:

15 White cords, 50 cm (0.5 yd) long each

Cut the following for knotting cords:

1 White cord, 5 m (5.5 yd) long

1 Green cord, 4m (4.4 yd) long

1 Red cord, 6 m (6.6 yd) long

TIP: If you find the cords too long to handle after cutting, no need to worry.
Simply cut them into separate pieces to work with. Then, once you finish each piece,
continue adding another one using Vertical Double Half Hitch until the end.

INSTRUCTIONS
The pixel chart consists of 15 rows and 15 columns, forming the entire pattern.
Starting from the left, the first row will be knotted from left to right. Then, alternate
the direction for every row until the end of the project.
*Colors: 3

*Total Knots: 225 Vertical Double Half Hitches

*Where to add color cord:

Green cord: row 1, column 3

Red cord: row 1, column 5

After completing the pixel pattern, gently remove the design from the dowel. To
perfect the Christmas coaster project, delicately trim the fringe on both sides to your
preferred length.
