1.REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2.REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 51410

3.REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 51442

4.REMOVE FRONT LOWER ARM SHAFT BOOT PROTECTOR LH (w/ Drive Shaft Boot 4866A

a.

Remove the 2 bolts and front lower arm shaft boot protector LH.

5.DISCONNECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

a. Remove the nut and bolt.

HINT:
While fixing the nut in place, loosen and remove the bolt.

b. Disconnect the front shock absorber with coil spring from the front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-
assembly LH.

6.REMOVE FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 48069

a. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the front lower ball joint attachment LH from the steering knuckle.

*1 No. 1 Camber Adjusting Cam

*2 No. 2 Camber Adjusting Cam
*a Matchmark

Place matchmarks on the No. 1 camber adjusting cam and vehicle frame, and No. 2 camber adjusting cam
and vehicle frame.

c. Remove the 2 nuts, No. 1 and No. 2 camber adjusting cams, No. 1 and No. 2 camber adjusting cam
assemblies and front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assembly LH.

7.REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ATTACHMENT LH 48626

a. Remove the cotter pin and nut.

b.

Using SST, remove the front lower ball joint attachment LH.

8.REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 LOWER ARM BUSH 48654F

Using a hammer and chisel, strike and bend the entire flange of the bush as shown in the illustration.

b.

Using SST and a press, press out the front No. 1 lower arm bush.

9.REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 LOWER ARM BUSH 48655E

a.

Using a hammer and chisel, strike and bend the entire flange of the bush as shown in the illustration.

Using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, remove the snap ring.

HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
