The University is approved and recognized by the Ministry of Educa�on,
Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the University
Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. It is a leading university for
u�litarian educa�on. The University has produced as many as 12000
graduates in its eleven departments covering twenty five programs. None
of its degree holders are unemployed implying its commitment to offer up
to-date and quality educa�on.
The vision of the University is to create leaders who will make their brain
the �niest laboratory capable of making enormous contribu�ons to
economic emancipa�on and social well-being.
About the Department of Law :
Department of Law at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) started
its journey in 2005. Within a short span of only fourteen (14) years there
has been a remarkable progress of the department. Global standard
curricula both theory and prac�ce based are followed to impart quality
educa�on by qualified and competent teachers. The Department offers a
curriculum that is rigorous, varied and prac�cal. The Department of Law
has a history of innova�on and uniqueness in its curricula, method of
teaching and programs. The syllabus of all the programs are duly
recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and professional
regulatory body (Bangladesh Bar Council) . The facul�es of the Department
of Law are handpicked for their academic excellence and Individual
exper�se. The Department of Law offers LLB (4 years) and LLM. (1 year and
2 years) degrees. The Department so far created more than 1200
graduates since its commencement who are all employed and are
contribu�ng to both na�onal and interna�onal arena.

I. LLB (Hons):
2nd division or GPA of 2.50 in S.S.C & H.S.C separately or total GPA of 6.00
with minimum GPA of 2.00 either in S.S.C or in H.S.C or total GPA of 5.00 in
S.S.C & H.S.C for wards of the freedom fighters or minimum 5' O Level, 2'
A Level courses or equivalent. Diploma holders are also admi�ed with
waiver of courses.

Course Waiver: Course may be exempted for candidates beyond 12
years of educa�on. Dual major may be offered.
Class Timing: Morning, Day & Evening. However, evening classes are
meant for employed persons.
Credit Transfer : Students can transfer their credit to the World
University of Bangladesh provided they can submit evidence of previous
credits completed from a recognized University or University College of any
Commonwealth country. Moreover, students with HNC, HND and Diploma
from the BTEB or any recognized examina�on bodies will be given necessary
credit exemp�ons to enable them to finish their courses in a shorter period.

Financial Aid :
WUB provides a number of scholarships and financial grant to the deserving
students to meet their tui�on fees . To be considered for this Scholarship, a student
must achieve for both SSC and HSC (or its equivalents): Golden GPA-5.00=100%,
GPA-5 (1 Golden)= 80%, Normal GPA-5=70%, GPA 4.26-4.99=45%,
GPA-3.5-4.25=35%, GPA 3.00-3.49-25% and GPA 2.50-2.99=20%. Special
scholarship for female students, siblings, spouse, athletes, group and many other.
Best performers of each semester will enjoy full free scholarship for that semester.
